Zayo’s Network Expansion and Modernization
Zayo is in the process of revamping and expanding its global IP backbone, which already covers an impressive 19 million fiber miles and 147,000 route miles. With a network that connects 400 markets and over 1,500 on-net data centers globally, Zayo is enhancing its infrastructure to meet the evolving demands of digital connectivity.
Nokia’s Role in Transforming Zayo’s IP Architecture
By leveraging Nokia’s state-of-the-art IP router solutions, Zayo is transitioning to a more adaptable and scalable network architecture capable of accommodating increasing bandwidth requirements and emerging digital service needs across various industries. The deployment of Nokia’s FP5-based 7750 Service Router and 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR) is set to empower Zayo with the capability to provide 400G and 800G-capable services.
