Google TV users may have noticed a recent redesign on their homescreens, marking one of the most significant changes to the platform since its rebranding in 2020. The update, which started rolling out last week, includes adjustments to the top navigation bar. However, some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the removal of the Library tab, which provided quick access to downloaded content.

The new top menu now features the Home tab instead of For You, alongside Live and Apps tabs. Settings and Screensaver options are now grouped in a separate box for easier access. The redesign aims to enhance user experience and streamline navigation.

While the changes have been confirmed for users in the US, users in other countries may not have received the update yet. It’s worth noting that Google has not officially announced the redesign, suggesting that further tweaks and adjustments may be in the works.

Overall, the new Google TV homescreen redesign introduces a fresh look and improved functionality, catering to the evolving needs of users. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the world of smart TV technology.
