One UI 8’s troubled past – and big future
This pause adds to the challenges faced during the rollout of One UI 8. Initially introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 in late July, Samsung has encountered delays in extending the new UI to older devices. After a series of beta releases, the final versions began to reach users in mid-September.
One UI 8 brings advanced multimodal AI capabilities, a user experience tailored for various device forms, and personalized proactive suggestions for enhanced daily convenience. However, the most significant upgrades are anticipated in the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, expected to launch in early 2026.
