Two teenagers, aged 15, are facing charges of unarmed carjacking after an altercation with Edward “Big Balls” Coristine, a teenage software engineer and former Neuralink intern who gained recognition within the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Reports from local authorities indicate that Coristine, who resigned from DOGE in June but later returned to federal service at the Social Security Administration to assist in enhancing the agency’s website, was with his girlfriend in Washington’s Logan Circle when a group of around 10 teens approached their vehicle in the early hours of Sunday. After making threats about taking the car, Coristine swiftly moved his girlfriend to safety inside the vehicle before engaging with the group, resulting in a physical altercation until law enforcement arrived at the scene.
Elon Musk took to his social media platform, X, to commend Coristine for his bravery, while President Trump utilized a graphic image of Coristine post-assault on Truth Social to advocate for trying teenagers as young as 14 as adults.
