In 2024, Apple showcased a cutting-edge demonstration of a new and advanced Siri that promised seamless integration with various apps to retrieve a wide range of information. Despite the initial excitement, this enhanced Siri has yet to be officially launched, indicating potential delays in its development.

However, recent reports from Bloomberg suggest that Apple is currently experimenting with a revamped version of Siri that can execute tasks across different apps through voice commands. The tech giant is working on enhancing App Intents, a framework that empowers developers to grant users access to specific sections of their apps through various channels like search and Shortcuts.

According to Bloomberg’s findings, if the updated Siri and App Intents perform well, users will have the ability to instruct Siri to perform tasks such as searching for a photo, editing it, and sharing it with someone, posting comments on social media platforms, or logging into various services.

Apple is reportedly testing this feature with popular apps like Uber, AllTrails, Threads, Temu, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Earlier reports indicated that Apple had plans to introduce a revamped version of Siri by spring 2026.
