Infineon Technologies AG and Delta Electronics are teaming up to create cutting-edge high-density power modules for AI processors in hyperscale data centers. This collaboration aims to revolutionize vertical power delivery, enhancing efficiency and reducing carbon emissions significantly.

Revolutionizing Power Delivery for AI Data Centers

Infineon Technologies AG has recently announced a strategic expansion of its partnership with Delta Electronics to develop advanced high-density power modules for AI processors in hyperscale data centers. These innovative modules are designed to revolutionize vertical power delivery (VPD) and bring unparalleled efficiency to the power infrastructure of data centers.

Efficiency and Sustainability in Focus

By combining Infineon’s ultra-thin silicon chip technology with Delta’s innovative power module design, this collaboration aims to create ultra-efficient modules that significantly reduce carbon emissions. It is projected that these modules could save up to 150 tons of CO2 per rack over a three-year lifespan, equivalent to the annual emissions of 4,000 households.

Industry Impact and Innovation

Delta’s Vice President and General Manager of the Power and System Business Group, Ares Chen, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in driving energy conservation in hyperscale data centers. The development of advanced VPD modules offers improved power efficiency, reliability, and scalability for customers, paving the way for a more sustainable future in the industry.

Next-Generation Power Solutions

Infineon and Delta are at the forefront of developing next-generation power solutions to meet the growing demands of AI technologies. With a focus on future-proof systems capable of delivering 1 MW per rack, this collaboration represents a significant step towards achieving performance and sustainability in AI data centers.
