Maher Terminals, in collaboration with Nokia and Future Technologies Venture, is leveraging Nokia’s Edge platform and private wireless technology to digitize operations. The Nokia Edge silicon provides secure, high-capacity, low-latency wireless connectivity essential for real-time analytics and increased automation and security.
This system enhances yard control, crane control, and gate operations at Maher Terminals’ 450-acre facility in Port Elizabeth, New Jersey. Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud offers secure private wireless for asset tracking, positioning, and vehicle-to-person communications, enabling efficient data transfer and remote configuration of connected devices.
With the Network Digital Twin capability, live telemetry aids in predicting and validating wireless coverage, contributing to improved operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and sustainability efforts at Maher Terminals.
