Schneider Electric has been recognized for its commitment to promoting circularity and sustainable innovation at the Evreux site, which serves as the company’s premier circular distribution hub. By implementing a unique “use better, longer, and again” model, the center has successfully reduced energy consumption by 18% and decreased single-use plastics by 40% over the past two years.
This latest achievement marks Schneider Electric’s sixth Sustainability Lighthouse designation, making it the most awarded company in the Global Lighthouse Network. The Evreux site has implemented various sustainability measures, including a digital customer platform managing orders and take-backs for over 3,000 products, a data model connecting products to repair and refurbishment centers, circular solutions in packaging and transportation, and the utilization of EcoStruxure Resource Advisor and EcoStruxure Building Operation for energy monitoring.
Mourad Tamoud, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Schneider Electric, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “This acknowledgment from the Forum showcases our teams’ commitment to integrating sustainability into all facets of our operations. At Evreux, we have reimagined the distribution center’s role as a catalyst for circularity rather than just a logistics hub.”
The Global Lighthouse Network, a joint initiative of the World Economic Forum and McKinsey & Company, celebrates industrial sites that demonstrate excellence in digital transformation and operational efficiency. The 2025 cohort includes 12 new sites across seven countries, with Schneider Electric’s Evreux DC standing out for its sustainable achievements.
Kiva Allgood, Managing Director at the World Economic Forum, commended the new Lighthouse cohort for leading holistic transformations, setting a new global standard for operational excellence and impact. Schneider Electric’s ongoing commitment to sustainable manufacturing has been underscored by this accolade, following previous recognitions like the Wuxi factory in China.
The Evreux center is part of Schneider Electric’s Impact Supply Chain transformation initiative, focusing on empowering teams to innovate, building a sustainable and responsible supply chain, investing in reliability and quality for customers, and enhancing supply chain performance through advanced technology and collaboration.
