In today’s business landscape, AI has evolved from pilot projects to being deeply integrated into various industries. The next frontier is agentic AI, where autonomous systems can adapt, connect with other systems, and make crucial business decisions. However, this advancement brings new challenges, emphasizing the need for stronger oversight, governance frameworks, and transparency from the outset.

Agentic AI represents a significant shift in how software interacts with users, requiring developers to focus on designing safeguards rather than simply writing code. As these autonomous systems mature, transparency and accountability must be ingrained into their design to ensure reliability and alignment with business objectives. This shift necessitates developers and IT leaders to take on a broader supervisory role, guiding both technological and organizational changes.

With the autonomy of AI agents comes increased vulnerabilities, making governance, trust, and safety top concerns for tech leaders. Without robust safeguards, organizations risk facing compliance gaps, security breaches, and reputational damage. To scale AI safely, low-code platforms offer a scalable framework where security, compliance, and governance are seamlessly integrated into development processes, enabling organizations to deploy AI agents confidently without disrupting existing workflows.
