The United States has granted approval for the export of Nvidia Corp. chips worth several billion dollars to the United Arab Emirates, marking the beginning of a potentially groundbreaking deal that could shape American AI statecraft. This move comes after the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security issued the necessary export licenses under a bilateral AI agreement reached in May. The agreement involves a significant reciprocal investment by the UAE in the US, although the exact value of the chip shipments and Emirati investment remains undisclosed.

The US government has recently approved the export of Nvidia Corp. chips to the United Arab Emirates as part of a significant AI agreement between the two countries. This development sets the stage for a transformative partnership in the field of artificial intelligence, with potential implications for future collaborations in technology and innovation. The approval of these export licenses signals a positive step towards strengthening ties between the US and the UAE, paving the way for increased cooperation in the realm of advanced technologies.
