Home decor brand Kohler has recently introduced a novel gadget named the Dekoda, priced at $599. This innovative camera can be attached to your toilet bowl to capture images of its contents.

According to a report on CNET, the Dekoda utilizes these images to provide insights into your gastrointestinal health, hydration levels, and even detect blood. Equipped with a rechargeable battery, USB connectivity, and a fingerprint sensor for user identification, this device offers a range of features.

Interested customers can pre-order the Dekoda now, with shipments set to commence on October 21. Apart from the initial hardware cost, users will also need to subscribe, with prices ranging from $70 to $156.

Addressing concerns about privacy, Kohler assures users that the Dekoda’s sensors are solely focused on the toilet area and nowhere else. The company emphasizes that all collected data is safeguarded through end-to-end encryption protocols.

While Kohler leads the way in toilet photography, other players like the startup Throne have also ventured into this unique market. It seems that capturing images of your bodily waste is a trend that’s here to stay.
