Exciting Update: Your Google Pixel Phone is Now Offering Advanced Calling Features!
SHARE
According to recent reports, there is exciting news for Google Pixel users as a new feature is set to enhance their experience. Google is introducing a call recording feature through the native Phone app, starting with the Pixel 6 series and newer models released after October 2021. Users can now customize call recording settings to capture all calls or only those from selected contacts, with the option to activate recordings during ongoing calls. This feature requires a Pixel 6 or later model, Android 14 or newer, and the latest version of the Google Phone app. Additionally, users of Google’s Phone app on other Android devices may also access this functionality by updating to the latest version or downloading the November Pixel Drop update. Keep reading for more details on this exciting development for Google Pixel users.

As mentioned, the feature requires a Pixel 6 or later model, that the phone has Android 14 or a newer version of Google’s operating system installed, and that you also use the latest version of the Google Phone app.

It might not be exclusive to Pixel phones, though. If you use Google’s Phone app, which is available via the Play Store on all Android phones, you should also be able to access the call recording functionality, so it’s worth checking or considering switching to that as your default.

Can’t see it yet? Android Authority also suggests that you may need to download November’s Pixel Drop update to get the recordings to work.
