World, the biometric ID verification initiative co-founded by Sam Altman, has unveiled the latest edition of its app, introducing a range of new features. These include an encrypted chat integration and an expanded capability for sending and receiving cryptocurrency, reminiscent of Venmo.
World was established by the startup Tools for Humanity back in 2019 and initially launched its app in 2023. The company’s mission is to combat the rise of AI-generated digital fakery by providing tools for digital “proof of human” to distinguish humans from bots.
