Helion Energy recently achieved two significant milestones in the fusion energy sector: reaching a plasma temperature of 150 million degrees Celsius and becoming the first private company to test its fusion device with tritium fuel. The Everett, Wash.-based company is at the forefront of the global effort to harness fusion reactions for energy generation, with plans to begin operating a commercial power facility in 2028. Despite skepticism, Helion’s latest advancements with its Polaris fusion reactor mark a significant step towards achieving this goal.
