In a strategic partnership, Nextchip has secured a license for Ceva’s cutting-edge NeuPro-M Edge AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to power their upcoming Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) solutions.

The NeuPro-M NPU by Ceva significantly boosts AI capabilities, enabling enhanced performance in intricate tasks such as object recognition, segmentation, and free space detection within challenging environments. This innovative NPU supports Vision Transformers (ViTs) and can efficiently process multiple video streams and AI models simultaneously for heightened precision.

With the global ADAS market forecasted to grow substantially, projected to reach $122.8 billion by 2030, there is a surge in demand for advanced vehicle safety features and autonomous driving technologies, as indicated by data from Grand View Research.

Ran Snir, General Manager and Vice President of the Vision Business Unit at Ceva, expressed, “Our NeuPro-M Edge AI NPU empowers ADAS system designers to achieve new heights in AI performance for the most sophisticated vision-based ADAS applications. Nextchip’s upcoming ADAS solutions incorporating the NeuPro-M NPU will enable automakers and Tier-1 suppliers to enhance ADAS capabilities, improve system reliability, and ultimately enhance the safety of the driving experience for consumers.”

Ceva’s NeuPro-M is a versatile, high-performance, energy-efficient Edge AI NPU tailored for deep learning and machine learning applications, including ADAS and computer vision.
