VSORA Raises $46M for AI Inference Chips

VSORA, a company based in Paris, France, has secured $46 million in funding for its artificial intelligence (AI) inference chips.
The funding round was led by Otium and a French family office, with additional investments from Omnes Capital, Adélie Capital, and co-financing from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund.
VSORA plans to use the capital to advance the production of its Jotunn8 (J8) chip, which is set to be available in silicon form by 2025.
CEO Khaled Maalej founded VSORA with the goal of providing ultra-high-performance AI inference chips for various applications, including generative AI, data centers, autonomous driving, robotics, and edge AI.
The Jotunn8 (J8) chip stands out for its impressive performance, offering 3,200 teraflops of compute power, surpassing current AI chips in the market.
