Nokia Partners with atNorth for Cloud Infrastructure Support

atNorth has recently announced its collaboration with Nokia to provide cloud infrastructure support at its FIN02 site in Finland. This partnership involves a multi-megawatt deployment that extends over 12 years, with potential expansions exceeding 10MW.

Leading the Way in Sustainable Technology

Nokia, a renowned telecommunications and networking technology company, is headquartered in Finland and has a strong presence in Finnish data centers. The company takes advantage of Finland’s cool climate and renewable energy sources to ensure the sustainability of its operations. In fact, Nokia was recognized as the most sustainable telecoms and communications company globally earlier this year.

Building on a Strong Relationship

atNorth and Nokia have established a longstanding partnership, with atNorth utilizing Nokia data center switches to power its HPCaaS offering, currently operating from data centers in Iceland and Sweden.

Meeting Complex Infrastructure Needs

Nokia sought a data center partner that could accommodate its high-density infrastructure requirements without compromising on environmental sustainability. The company needed capacity capable of supporting high-density workloads exceeding 130kW per rack, with rapid deployment and future scalability options.

State-of-the-Art Data Center Facility

Located in Espoo, Greater Helsinki, atNorth’s newest data center, FIN02, operates on renewable energy and boasts robust power and liquid cooling capabilities. The facility’s modular design allows for scalability to support high-performance workloads, with waste heat recycling in collaboration with Kesko Corporation to reduce its carbon footprint.

Testimonials from Industry Leaders

Marika Mentula, Vice President for Network Infrastructure North Europe at Nokia, expressed satisfaction with atNorth’s ability to meet complex technical requirements while aligning with sustainability goals. The partnership enables Nokia to deliver high-performance infrastructure to support its most demanding applications.

The enduring partnership with Nokia, focused on hardware solutions for HPCaaS and shared sustainability commitments, reflects atNorth’s ability to deliver top-notch services to globally recognized companies.

Overall, the collaboration between Nokia and atNorth represents a significant step towards innovative and sustainable cloud infrastructure solutions, catering to the evolving needs of businesses worldwide.
