Chaos Industries Raises $275M in Series C Funding

Chaos Industries

Chaos Industries, a technology company based in Los Angeles, CA, has secured $275 million in Series C funding to support the development of advanced defense and national security systems. This latest round brings the total funding raised by the company to $490 million.

The funding round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and co-led by Accel, with additional participation from StepStone Group, Overmatch Ventures, Tru Arrow Partners, and Valor Equity Partners.

With this new capital infusion, Chaos Industries plans to enhance the performance capabilities of its advanced detection, monitoring, and communication solutions, expand its manufacturing capacity, and drive further innovation in defense technology.

Established in 2022 by a team of industry veterans including John Tenet, Dr. Bo Marr, Gavin Hood, and Brett Cummings, Chaos Industries takes an engineering-focused approach to solving critical real-world problems. The company’s sprint engineering system allows for rapid prototyping, while strategic partnerships with defense and industry stakeholders ensure practical application of its solutions.

Currently, Chaos Industries is actively developing a suite of products under the Coherent Distributed Networks™ umbrella, which offers cutting-edge performance for sensors and effectors. The first product in this lineup, Vanquish™, is a versatile radar system designed for early warning and tracking of unmanned aerial systems, missiles, and aircraft.

In a recent development, Chaos Industries announced the appointment of George J. Tenet, former Director of Central Intelligence, as Executive Chairman. Mr. Tenet’s extensive experience in national security and the private sector is expected to play a key role in driving the company’s growth trajectory.
