In the latest rankings for GPU accelerators, AMD has emerged as a strong contender with its Instinct accelerators featured in 23 systems, a significant increase from the previous year. This success can be attributed to AMD processors and coprocessors powering the world’s top supercomputers, showcasing the company’s growing influence in the GPU market.

On the other hand, Intel’s GPU efforts have faced challenges, with its Arc GPUs failing to make an impact in the consumer space and struggling to gain traction in data centers. With only four systems running GPU Max processors on the list, Intel’s performance in the GPU market has been disappointing despite its efforts.

In the server market, HPE, Dell, EVIDAN, and Nvidia have all seen an increase in share, with Nvidia also selling its SuperPOD AI servers directly to customers. These server vendors have experienced growth at the expense of Lenovo and Arm, with Lenovo witnessing the sharpest drop in server share from the previous year. Additionally, the ARM architecture was notably absent from the recent list, except for the presence of Nvidia Grace chips.

Overall, AMD emerges as the GPU winner, while Intel faces challenges in the GPU market. In the server market, HPE, Dell, EVIDAN, and Nvidia have seen growth, while Lenovo experiences a decline in share. The absence of ARM architecture highlights the changing dynamics in the technology landscape.
