Magical talents from Wizards of the Coast, a tabletop gaming company in Renton, Washington, are paving new career paths in the industry. Jess Lanzillo, the former vice president of the D&D franchise at Wizards of the Coast, recently announced her resignation in a heartfelt post on LinkedIn. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to turn imaginary worlds into real communities and hinted at embarking on a new adventure. Additionally, Todd Kenreck, a senior marketing strategist at Wizards of the Coast, bid farewell after over four years with the company. Both Christopher Perkins and Jeremy Crawford, former Dungeons & Dragons directors, have now joined Darrington Press, the publishing arm of Critical Role, bringing their expertise to new creative endeavors.

— Seeq, an industrial analytics startup, appointed Ray Scheppach as its chief financial officer. With a background in scaling SaaS businesses, Scheppach is poised to drive Seeq’s growth and development. The company’s focus on analytics, artificial intelligence, and monitoring technology for industrial businesses received a significant boost with a $50 million investment last year.

— nLight, based in Vancouver, Washington, welcomed Mark Hartman to its board of directors. Known for manufacturing high-powered lasers for various industries, nLight continues to strengthen its leadership team with Hartman, who previously served as the chief financial officer at Woodward. He replaces Doug Carlisle, a long-standing member of the nLight board who recently resigned.

— Joanna Lord, a seasoned marketing leader with a background at companies like Moz and Porch Group, has parted ways with Spring Health. While she explores new opportunities, Lord will provide consulting services in the interim. Similarly, Jon Gettinger, former CMO at Pipe17, transitioned to an executive role at a stealth AI startup, marking a new chapter in his career.

— Monument Advocacy, a political PR firm, appointed Maddie Heyman as its vice president in Seattle. Heyman’s extensive experience at Microsoft and background in external relations position her well to contribute to Monument Advocacy’s public affairs team. Banzai International, a Seattle marketing tech company, named Michael Kurtzman as its chief revenue officer, bringing his expertise from previous roles to drive the company’s growth strategies.

— Damon Fletcher, former CFO of Tableau, joined Paper Crane Factory as its first venture partner. Specializing in creative branding for startups, Paper Crane Factory offers unique incubation and collaboration opportunities. Fletcher’s leadership at Caliper and other organizations underscores his commitment to supporting early-stage ventures.

— Andrew Johnson recently assumed the role of associate scientific program manager at the Allen Institute for Cell Science in Seattle. With a background in health institutes and cancer research, Johnson adds valuable expertise to the institute’s scientific programs. MacroHealth, a healthcare tech company in Kirkland, appointed B.J. Boyle as its chief product officer, leveraging his experience from PointClickCare to drive product integration and commercialization efforts.

— Meghna Rao, former head of communications at Tidal Vision, has transitioned to new endeavors, co-leading a networking group for sustainability professionals and engaging in volunteer work. The Fred Hutch Cancer Center recognized outstanding researchers through the Dr. Eddie Méndez Scholar Award and the Evergreen Fund, supporting innovative projects with commercial potential. Dr. Rainer Storb, a distinguished figure at Fred Hutch, received a lifetime achievement award from the American Society of Hematology for his contributions to the field.
