According to a report by Bloomberg, a Meta spokesperson has verified the acquisition of Play AI. An internal memo revealed that the entire Play AI team will be integrated into Meta next week. The memo highlighted the compatibility of Play AI’s voice generation capabilities with Meta’s projects in AI Characters, Meta AI, Wearables, and audio content creation.
Meta has been actively investing in AI technologies, including recruiting talents from OpenAI and appointing Alexandr Wang from Scale AI to lead a new superintelligence-focused group at Meta.
