California Forever revealed its latest project, the Solano Foundry, a massive manufacturing park set to be a part of a futuristic city vision supported by Silicon Valley investors. The park, spanning 2,100 acres, aims to accommodate 40 million square feet of cutting-edge tech manufacturing facilities. CEO Jan Sramek shared the plans at the Reindustrialize conference in Detroit, emphasizing the integration of Solano Foundry into a walkable city featuring over 175,000 homes.
Sramek highlighted the importance of strategic location, stating that traditional manufacturing sites isolated from urban centers struggle to attract top talent. To address this, Solano Foundry will offer streamlined permitting processes, efficient transportation for goods, and sustainable energy sources. The goal is to draw in skilled professionals in hardware, engineering, and artificial intelligence, leveraging the proximity to Silicon Valley. Situated approximately 40 miles northeast of San Francisco, Solano County serves as an ideal hub for innovation and industry. Â
