Article:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making its way deeper into the physical world, and EY is at the forefront of providing a structured approach for companies to collaborate with robots, drones, and other smart devices. Their latest initiative involves the introduction of a physical AI platform that is integrated with NVIDIA tools. This platform aims to streamline the process of planning, testing, and managing AI systems that operate in real-world environments, such as factory robots, drones, and edge devices.

The physical AI platform leverages NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, Isaac tools, and AI Enterprise software. These tools enable organizations to create digital twins for modeling and testing systems before deployment, design and validate AI-driven robots in detailed 3D settings, and provide the computing base necessary to run heavier AI workloads. EY emphasizes that the platform is centered around three key areas: AI-ready data, digital twins and robotics training, and responsible physical AI governance and controls.

Raj Sharma, EY Global Managing Partner – Growth & Innovation, highlights the transformative impact of physical AI on various sectors, emphasizing increased automation and lower operating costs. This collaboration between EY and NVIDIA is expected to accelerate the transition from experimental AI initiatives to enterprise-scale deployment.

In addition to the new platform, EY has appointed Dr. Youngjun Choi as its Global Physical AI Leader to oversee robotics and physical AI work. With nearly two decades of experience in robotics and AI, Choi brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He will also lead the newly established EY.ai Lab in Georgia, which serves as a dedicated space for testing ideas and building prototypes before full-scale deployment.

The EY.ai Lab offers organizations the opportunity to design and test physical AI systems in a virtual environment, develop solutions for next-generation robots, and enhance logistics, manufacturing, and maintenance processes through digital twins. This initiative builds on the ongoing collaboration between EY and NVIDIA, with plans to expand physical AI projects into sectors like energy, health, and smart cities.

Overall, EY’s commitment to advancing physical AI capabilities through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions is poised to revolutionize how businesses operate and create value in the digital age.
