BCS has appointed Cameron Thompson as the Head of Utilities to lead the charge in providing enhanced support to both existing and new clients in critical infrastructure sectors. With a wealth of experience from previous roles at Ethical Power and Cast Consultancy, Cameron is well-equipped to drive the division forward.
With a focus on sustainable and accessible power, especially with the integration of AI in the sector, Cameron and his team are set to implement several new services. These include feasibility studies for developments, power procurement strategies, support for Gate power applications, advisory services on connections reform, and the implementation of alternative solutions like solar, BESS, hydrogen, and gas.
The team’s expertise extends to providing specialist advice on various utilities such as power, water, gas, drainage, telecom services, and district heating. They prioritize cost efficiencies, sustainability, and decarbonization in their approach.
Cameron Thompson underscored the team’s key objectives, emphasizing the importance of supporting clients in navigating the shift towards sustainable power, optimizing AI and digital opportunities, meeting ESG targets, and addressing grid power limitations.
