SeatGeek has introduced a new collaboration with Spotify, enhancing the ticket-purchasing process for Spotify users. This integration allows users to seamlessly browse artists’ pages and upcoming tour dates, with direct access to ticket links powered by SeatGeek. The partnership covers SeatGeek’s major U.S. venue partners, offering a convenient purchase experience for music fans.
Currently, SeatGeek’s integration with Spotify is limited to select venues where it serves as the primary ticket seller. This includes prominent locations like State Farm Stadium, Nissan Stadium, and AT&T Stadium. By leveraging Spotify’s vast user base, SeatGeek aims to convert music enthusiasts into ticket buyers, enhancing its market presence in the live event industry.
Despite SeatGeek’s progress in the industry, it faces competition from Ticketmaster and AXS, who dominate the ticketing market with extensive venue contracts. Ticketmaster alone services a significant number of top U.S. arenas, showcasing its stronghold in the live event ticketing sector.
Spotify’s recent partnership with SeatGeek aligns with its commitment to helping artists drive ticket sales, with over $1 billion generated through live event connections. The music streaming platform collaborates with various ticketing partners, including Ticketmaster, AXS, Eventbrite, DICE, and Bandsintown, to facilitate ticket purchases for music enthusiasts.
