Anysphere Secures $900 Million in Funding for AI-Powered Coding Tool
The Financial Times reported that Anysphere, the creator of the AI-powered coding tool Cursor, has recently secured $900 million in a new funding round led by Thrive Capital. This funding round also saw participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Accel, valuing Anysphere at approximately $9 billion.
Previously, Cursor had raised $105 million from Thrive Capital and a16z at a valuation of $2.5 billion, as reported by TechCrunch in December. With this latest round of funding, the startup has now raised over $173 million in total funding.
