Ethos Engineering, a leading Irish company specializing in sustainable data center design in the EMEA region, has expanded its capabilities through a recent acquisition. With the support of Exponent, Ethos has purchased 3DEC Ltd, a UK-based consultancy renowned for its ICT design services for data centers, commercial spaces, and educational environments. This strategic move is poised to enhance Ethos’s client offerings by integrating 3DEC’s design services directly into its operations.

Ethos Engineering, an Irish firm specializing in sustainable data center design in the EMEA region, has recently broadened its horizons with a significant acquisition. With the backing of Exponent, Ethos has taken over 3DEC Ltd, a well-known UK-based consultancy that excels in ICT design services for data centers, commercial spaces, and educational environments. This acquisition will not only enhance Ethos’s client offerings but also integrate 3DEC’s design services seamlessly into its operations.

The collaboration between Ethos and 3DEC is a testament to their shared commitment to excellence, as noted by Greg Hayden, Ethos Engineering’s chief executive. By welcoming 3DEC’s team of over 40 skilled engineers, Ethos aims to improve service delivery and project execution for their clients. Dylan Lewis, managing director of 3DEC, expressed optimism about the strategic alignment with Ethos, believing that it will accelerate their growth trajectory and expand their service offerings, especially within the blue-chip data center sector.

Exponent’s partner, Anthony Clegg, emphasized the significance of this acquisition in Ethos’s continuous evolution, highlighting the expansion of service capabilities and the growth of their workforce. This strategic move enables Ethos to cater to a wider range of hyperscale and co-location data center clients. While specific commercial details remain undisclosed, 3DEC will continue to operate under its brand, with Dylan Lewis and his leadership team at the helm.
