IBM Power, while not dominating the cloud market, boasts 40,000 global customers. The company witnessed a 17% year-over-year growth in the infrastructure segment during the third quarter of 2025.
“Our partnership with IBM has evolved significantly, expanding beyond just Power Desk to encompass on-premises solutions,” said Todd Brooks, FalconStor’s CEO, in an interview with DCN. “We aim to assist IBM Power customers in safeguarding their data, whether they run workloads on-premises, in the cloud, or through a managed service provider.”
Steven Dickens, CEO of HyperFrame Research, noted that Habanero mirrors a shift in how IBM Power users approach data protection. Enterprises seek the benefits of off-site and cloud-based protection without the expense and complexity of managing it internally.
Brooks highlighted FalconStor’s profitability and focus on SaaS and IBM collaboration. “Our technology aligns seamlessly with IBM’s ecosystem, positioning us to cater to a vast market,” he explained.
Habanero is now available and featured in the IBM Cloud catalog.
