T-Mobile has announced significant changes to its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies as it awaits regulatory approval for two major deals. The wireless carrier stated that it will no longer have dedicated roles or teams focused on DEI, removing all related references from its website and employee training materials.

The Bellevue, Wash.-based company conveyed this decision in a letter to Federal Trade Commission Chairman Brendan Carr, emphasizing a comprehensive review of its policies and activities. T-Mobile’s general counsel, Mark Nelson, stated that the company is committed to ending its DEI-related initiatives, both in name and in practice.

For more information on this development, you can read the full letter here.

Stay tuned for updates on this evolving situation as GeekWire reaches out to T-Mobile for further insights.
