A company that developed stalkerware and faced a ban from the surveillance industry due to a data breach exposing sensitive information will not be able to resume selling the invasive software, as per the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
The FTC rejected Scott Zuckerman’s request to lift the ban on his consumer spyware company Support King and its subsidiaries, SpyFone and OneClickMonitor, following a data breach.
The FTC’s decision to deny the request was announced after Zuckerman sought to overturn the ban order earlier this year.
