Donnell Beverly Jr. founded the end-of-life planning startup Eazewell following the loss of his parents, enlisting the help of friend and NBA All Star Russell Westbrook to launch the business.
Eazewell, co-founded by Beverly Jr., Westbrook, and NBA All Star Kemba Walker, is an AI-driven platform designed to assist families in navigating and automating the administrative aspects of end-of-life and funeral planning.
The platform partners with various service providers to offer free basic features and premium options, aiming to alleviate the burden of end-of-life processes for grieving families.
Beverly Jr. conceptualized Eazewell after experiencing the challenges of handling his parents’ affairs posthumously, recognizing the potential for AI technology to streamline end-of-life tasks.
Since its establishment in 2024, Eazewell has aided over 100,000 families and is expanding its services to include managing digital assets after a loved one’s passing.
Westbrook views Eazewell as an opportunity to leverage his platform for social impact, particularly in assisting underserved communities through the difficult process of end-of-life planning.
