The collaboration between Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC will revolutionize the way data center operators manage power distribution. By integrating critical power distribution with broader building management functions, such as load alignment to capacity, operators can enhance resiliency and efficiency.
Joint products will be introduced by the two companies, offering integrated switchgear and power management solutions for data centers. These solutions will ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical systems. The partnership also plans to develop new electrical power monitoring systems using Honeywell Forge platform’s AI capabilities and LS ELECTRIC’s software expertise. These systems will intelligently regulate energy distribution and consumption, while utilizing AI-driven predictive maintenance to identify potential issues early on, reducing power quality issues and downtime costs.
Additionally, Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC will collaborate on a new battery energy storage system (BESS) for commercial and industrial buildings. This end-to-end solution aims to create microgrids in critical buildings and industrial facilities, offering an alternative to improve resiliency and manage demand. The modular BESS solution will integrate LS ELECTRIC’s energy storage capabilities with Honeywell’s energy control software, enabling efficient energy use and storage.
Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell Building Automation, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the focus on delivering scalable solutions for critical industries. JongWoo Kim, President of LS ELECTRIC Power Electric, emphasized the companies’ joint effort to provide energy-efficient and reliable solutions for data centers and building operators.
