Legrand Acquires ZPE Systems to Enhance Data Center Solutions

Legrand, a leading provider of data center solutions, has recently acquired ZPE Systems, a company specializing in remote access and management of network IT equipment. This strategic move brings together ZPE’s secure management infrastructure with Legrand’s comprehensive data center solutions, expanding their offerings from data centers to the edge.

As part of the acquisition, ZPE Systems will now operate as a business unit within Legrand’s Data, Power, and Control Division. Arnaldo Zimmermann will continue to lead the team at ZPE Systems, reporting to Brian DiBella, President of Legrand’s DPC Division.

In a statement, John Selldorff, President and CEO of Legrand, North and Central America, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition. He highlighted the growing demand for intelligent IT infrastructure in data centers and edge environments, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and operational technology. Selldorff emphasized the importance of remote management and operation in meeting these evolving needs, noting ZPE Systems’ expertise in automation infrastructure solutions.

Arnaldo Zimmermann also shared his thoughts on the acquisition, stating that the partnership with Legrand will strengthen ZPE Systems’ position in the market and enable them to explore new opportunities. Together, the two companies aim to provide innovative solutions that address the complex requirements of modern data centers and edge computing environments.

Overall, the acquisition of ZPE Systems by Legrand signifies a significant step towards enhancing data center solutions and meeting the growing demands of the industry.
