Legrand, a leading global provider of electrical and digital building infrastructures, has recently finalized its acquisition of ZPE Systems, a well-known innovator based in Fremont, California, specializing in critical data center solutions. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening Legrand’s position in the rapidly expanding data center and edge management infrastructure sector.
The collaboration between Legrand and ZPE Systems will combine ZPE’s expertise in secure and open management infrastructure with Legrand’s wide range of data center solutions. While the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, it is expected to have a significant impact on Legrand’s presence in the market.
ZPE Systems is recognized for its resilience and security solutions for business-critical infrastructures, offering products such as service routers, sensors, and serial console servers essential for remote control and access to network IT infrastructure in edge environments and data centers.
The integration of ZPE’s technology with Legrand’s portfolio of data center products, including overhead busway, custom cabinets, intelligent PDUs, KVM switches, and fiber solutions, is anticipated to enhance Legrand’s offerings in the data center solutions market.
Following the acquisition, ZPE Systems will operate as a business unit within Legrand’s Data, Power, and Control (DPC) Division, with co-founder Arnaldo Zimmermann continuing to lead the company and reporting to Brian DiBella, President of Legrand’s DPC Division.
