Do not worry, the tech community has not seen the last of Ed Lazowska.
After spending almost fifty years in the realm of computer science at the University of Washington, predating the arrival of Microsoft in the Seattle area, the esteemed advocate of the UW’s Allen School has officially retired from his university duties at the age of 75, as promised to his family.
However, his retirement does not mark the end of his contributions. Despite stepping back from official responsibilities, Lazowska remains dedicated to tackling significant challenges and contributing to impactful projects in the tech and education sectors.
