MagicBlock Raises $7.5M in Seed Funding for Real-Time Engine on Solana

MagicBlock, a company based in Singapore and CA, has secured $7.5 million in Seed funding for its real-time engine designed for decentralized games and applications on the Solana blockchain.
The funding round was led by Lightspeed Faction, with Maven11, Delphi Digital, Robot Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Equilibrium, Pivot Global, and notable angels such as Anatoly Yakovenko, Mert Mumtaz, and Tristan Yver also participating.
With the new capital infusion, MagicBlock plans to grow its engineering team, expand its developer ecosystem, and further enhance its ephemeral rollup technology.
Co-founded by Andrea Fortugno and Gabriele Picco, MagicBlock offers a real-time engine integrated with Solana, providing low latency, scalable runtimes, and elastic scalability for on-chain applications. The company focuses on delivering speed, composability, and scalability to decentralized applications, allowing them to achieve high performance without compromising the benefits of Web3.
Previously, MagicBlock received a $3 million investment led by a16z CSX in September 2024.
As part of its growth strategy, MagicBlock has forged partnerships with several key players in the blockchain space:
- Jito, a company specializing in Solana’s validator ecosystem, collaborating with MagicBlock to enhance security and reduce execution time.
- Flash Trade, a decentralized derivative exchange leveraging MagicBlock’s ephemeral rollups for real-time, gas-efficient trades.
- Supersize, a real-time multiplayer game built entirely on-chain for enhanced composability and verifiability.
- dTelecom, a provider of a decentralized real-time communication network utilizing ephemeral rollup technology for low-latency experiences with minimal fees.
- Pyth Lazer, offering a 1ms price stream running in Ephemeral Rollups.
