Miden: NYC Blockchain Startup Secures $25 Million in Seed Funding

Miden, a cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure startup based in New York City, has successfully raised $25 million in seed funding to support its mission and growth.
Leading the round are prominent investors a16z Crypto, 1kx, and Hack VC, along with support from Finality Capital Partners, Symbolic Capital, P2 Ventures, Delta Fund, MH Ventures, and notable angels such as Rune Christensen of MakerDAO and Sreeram Kannan from EigenLayer.
The company plans to utilize the funds to expand its operational capabilities and further its development efforts in the blockchain space.
Founded as a spin-off from Polygon Labs and helmed by CEO Bobbin Threadbare, Miden specializes in a zk-powered blockchain platform designed for the creation of innovative, high-throughput, and secure applications in various sectors including payments, DeFi, digital assets, and gaming. These applications and users are safeguarded by Ethereum and AggLayer technologies.
The highly-anticipated mainnet launch of Miden’s platform is set for the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a significant milestone for the company and its stakeholders.
