In summary

  • Nubia Fold now available in Japan
  • Offers performance comparable to Galaxy Z Fold 7
  • Priced at less than £1,000

A new foldable phone option has entered the market in the form of the Nubia Fold, providing an attractive alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The Nubia Fold has been unveiled on the website of Japanese mobile operator Y!mobile, indicating a potential competitor to future models of the Galaxy Z Fold series.

Key features of the Nubia Fold include a large 6,560mAh battery with 55W charging, an impressive 8-inch 120Hz external display with a resolution of 2,480 x 2,200, and a 6.5-inch cover display with a resolution of 2,748 x 1,172.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 12GB of RAM, the Nubia Fold promises strong performance similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

While the Nubia Fold may not match the sleek design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it offers a robust set of specifications at a lower price point. Weighing 249g and featuring an IP54 rating, the Nubia Fold provides a competitive alternative to its counterparts.

The device is equipped with a 50Mp main sensor, 50Mp ultra-wide camera, 5Mp macro camera, and dual 20Mp selfie cameras, offering a versatile photography experience.

Nubia Fold pricing

The Nubia Fold is priced at ¥178,560, translating to approximately £864, making it a more affordable option compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. This competitive pricing positions the Nubia Fold as a potential rival to the rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 FE.

Known for offering flagship-level performance at a lower cost, Nubia continues this trend with the Nubia Fold, delivering value to consumers.
