OpenAI Launches GPT Store Featuring Custom ChatGPT Models
OpenAI, a leading AI research and deployment company, recently announced the launch of the GPT Store. This web directory showcases custom versions of ChatGPT, a popular Generative Pre-trained Transformer model.
The GPT Store was unveiled on January 10 and offers a variety of GPT models developed by OpenAI partners and the community. In just two months since the introduction of “GPTs,” users have created over three million custom versions of ChatGPT, according to OpenAI.
The GPT Store is accessible to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users. By following the link under “Explore GPTs,” users can explore trending GPT models on the community leaderboard across categories such as writing, research, programming, education, and lifestyle. OpenAI plans to showcase GPTs that are deemed “useful and impactful,” with initial features including AllTrails, Books, and Khan Academy’s Code Tutor.
In addition to browsing existing GPT models, users have the option to submit their own creations to the store. OpenAI has announced plans to introduce a GPT builder revenue program in the first quarter of the year. This program will compensate builders based on user engagement with their custom GPT models.
