Portus Data Centers Welcomes Jörgen Venot as Director of International Sales
Portus Data Centers is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jörgen Venot as the new Director of International Sales. With a wealth of experience as an international C-Level executive and entrepreneur, Jörgen brings a proven track record in driving major colocation, HPC, and data center sales.
Jörgen has been a prominent figure in the data center industry for over 15 years. He started his journey with pan-European data center colocation operator Etix Everywhere in 2015, where he eventually rose to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and later became the CEO of Northern Europe. Most recently, Jörgen served as the Principal of Data Center Partners, a Munich-based investment firm specializing in colocation and hyperscale data centers across the DACH region.
Prior to his role at Data Center Partners, Jörgen held the position of Chief Sales Officer at Data Castle, a sustainable data center platform provider in Germany. He also worked at The Data Center Group as the Head of Sales & Marketing, where he oversaw international sales for DC Products GmbH, the company’s edge IT security products subsidiary.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Jörgen Venot stated, “I believe that my in-depth understanding of the international data center industry, spanning from strategic business development to operations, investment, design, planning, and construction, will be a valuable asset in my new position. I am eager to drive and capitalize on both existing and new international client opportunities in the DACH region and other key European edge markets.”
Adriaan Oosthoek, Chairman of Portus Data Centers, shared his excitement about Jörgen’s appointment, emphasizing his extensive experience and reputation in the industry. Oosthoek anticipates that Jörgen will play a pivotal role in advancing Portus’s long-term growth strategy and generating substantial sales revenue from strategic international clients in current and future edge colocation markets.
Fluent in French, English, and German, Jörgen is an iMasons Infrastructure Member. Before venturing into the data center sector, he enjoyed a successful career in various IT businesses, including Ancestry.com, and spent 15 years in the business stationery manufacturing industry at Tompla and Curtis 1000 Europe AG (Taylor Corporation).
