Schneider Electric and NVIDIA have formed a strategic global partnership to address the growing need for eco-friendly, AI-enabled infrastructure. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to enhance research and development in power, cooling, controls, and high-density rack systems to propel the evolution of AI factories in Europe and beyond. The partnership was unveiled during NVIDIA GTC Paris and aligns with the European Union’s AI infrastructure goals, particularly its “InvestAI” initiative, which seeks to channel €200 billion into AI investments. The joint efforts of Schneider Electric and NVIDIA are also in line with the European Commission’s “AI Continent Action Plan,” which aims to establish at least 13 AI factories and up to five AI gigafactories across Europe.
The CEO of Schneider Electric, Olivier Blum, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Schneider Electric and NVIDIA are not just partners — our teams are driving advanced R&D, co-developing the infrastructure needed to power the next wave of AI factories globally.” He highlighted the success of deploying cutting-edge power and liquid cooling solutions tailored for AI data centers, underscoring the strategic value of the partnership between the two industry leaders. NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, echoed this sentiment, calling AI the defining technology of our era and emphasizing the pivotal role of AI factories in reshaping industries and society.
To support their collaborative efforts, Schneider Electric has introduced a range of new AI-ready data center solutions, including the EcoStruxure™ Pod and Rack Infrastructure. Designed to expedite AI developments on a global scale, the Prefabricated Modular EcoStruxure Pod Data Centre offers a scalable, pod-based architecture for rapid AI data center deployment. Additionally, Schneider Electric has developed a new Open Compute Project (OCP) inspired rack system to support the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform, integrating seamlessly into NVIDIA HGX and MGX ecosystems.
This latest announcement builds on a series of key milestones achieved by Schneider Electric and NVIDIA, including the unveiling of the world’s first digital twin for electrical and large-scale power systems in AI factories. Through their expanded strategic partnership, the two companies are committed to accelerating infrastructure initiatives, introducing new product offerings, and developing reference designs to shape the AI factories of the future.
