New reports have surfaced regarding the budget-friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite tablet, hinting at a potentially puzzling release timeline. Earlier this year, rumors circulated about a new mid-range tablet from Samsung, tentatively named the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. Now, fresh information has emerged, suggesting that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is currently undergoing software testing, as indicated by tipster Alfaturk.
Back in April, we discussed rumors surrounding a new mid-range tablet from Samsung, known as the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.
The latest update reveals that the tablet is now in the software testing phase, with Alfaturk mentioning the use of the Exynos 1380 chipset for the device. The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is anticipated to be introduced alongside the Tab S11 series, running on a version of One UI 7 layered on top of Android 15. It’s likely that the software will be upgraded to One UI 8 and Android 16 before the official launch.
Interestingly, the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is linked to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 range, indicating a simultaneous launch of the S10 Lite alongside the next-gen tablets. This strategy mirrors Samsung’s previous approach with the Galaxy FE smartphone range, where the S24 FE was unveiled shortly before the S25 model, sparking discussions about the timing of the releases.
Based on past patterns, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is expected to hit the market around October. The tablet is rumored to feature Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chip, positioning it as a mid-range option compared to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. With the presence of the Galaxy Tab A9+ in the lower price segment, speculations suggest that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite might be priced around £399.
Samsung is known for its range of reliable and affordable tablets, catering to different market segments with models like the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. However, the unconventional release schedule for the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite raises questions about Samsung’s strategy for its latest tablet offering.
