ServiceNow Bolsters Security Portfolio with Armis Acquisition
SHARE
ServiceNow recently announced its intentions to enhance its cybersecurity services by acquiring Armis in a $7.75 billion deal. This strategic move aims to bolster ServiceNow’s cyber risk management capabilities by incorporating Armis’s expertise in monitoring cyber exposure across various technology landscapes, including IT, operational technology (OT), medical devices, and critical infrastructure.

ServiceNow’s acquisition of Armis is part of its commitment to strengthening its cybersecurity offerings by integrating Armis’s cyber-physical security solutions. This strategic move seeks to combine real-time asset discovery with threat intelligence and automated remediation workflows to provide a unified approach to managing security exposure across connected devices globally.

The integration of Armis’s cyber risk management with ServiceNow’s platform addresses the growing cybersecurity threats associated with the widespread adoption of AI technologies. With global spending on information security projected to reach $240 billion by 2026, the ability to identify vulnerabilities in real-time is crucial for organizations. This acquisition is expected to expand ServiceNow’s Security, Risk, and OT portfolios, significantly increasing its market potential in these areas.

ServiceNow and Armis have a longstanding partnership that includes multiple integrations combining Armis’s real-time data with ServiceNow’s workflow actions. This collaboration aims to enhance ServiceNow’s cyber defense strategies through an AI-driven security platform.

Together, ServiceNow and Armis aim to enhance security across industries such as manufacturing and healthcare, where cyber-physical assets are critical. By maintaining a proactive approach to potential threats, security teams can better protect their organizations.

The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the latter half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. The Armis team will join ServiceNow as part of the transaction, which will be financed through a combination of cash reserves and accumulated debt.
