Rebranding Announcement: FLAG Emerges as the New Face of Global Cloud Xchange

Global Cloud Xchange has officially rebranded to FLAG, marking a new chapter in its journey as one of the leading global subsea cable operators. The company, now known as FLAG, is set to continue its growth trajectory with a focus on innovation and expansion. Despite the rebrand, the Managed Services division will retain its identity as GCX Managed Services.

Delivering Connectivity Solutions to Meet Global Demands

FLAG specializes in providing end-to-end digital connectivity solutions that cater to a wide range of clients. From flexible leased capacity to dark fiber and Layer 2 & 3 services, FLAG offers high-speed connectivity solutions to hyperscalers, telecom carriers, OTT content providers, and enterprises. The company boasts a robust network of seven subsea and six terrestrial cable systems, serving clients in over 180 countries. This interconnected platform spans key regions such as Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the USA, ensuring reliable connectivity and route diversity for mission-critical dataflows. FLAG also offers modular data centers to support high-performance computing deployments, enhancing network capabilities and meeting the growing demand for data processing and storage.

Carl Grivner, CEO of FLAG, emphasized the company’s commitment to global connectivity, stating, “FLAG represents our dedication to providing advanced connectivity solutions that enable our clients to scale, secure, and optimize their data in an interconnected world.”

Strategic Growth Initiatives

FLAG has experienced significant growth year-on-year and recently made strategic investments to enhance its subsea capabilities in the Middle East and intra-Asia regions. The rebrand aligns with FLAG’s focus on long-term goals and investments in subsea infrastructure, edge data centers, and cable landing stations. The company is also focusing on developing technology solutions tailored to meet the increasing demand for data traffic driven by content, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital services. With a global presence in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, FLAG is committed to delivering innovative solutions and advancing customer offerings through digitization.
