Christopher Burger has recently been appointed as the chief information security officer for F5, a prominent networking and security company based in Seattle. In his new role, Burger will be responsible for leading cybersecurity strategy, programs, and governance.
Burger expressed his excitement about joining F5, stating, “F5 has been at the forefront of application delivery and security for nearly three decades, and I’m honored to contribute to its mission of delivering and securing every app and API, anywhere.”
Prior to joining F5, Burger served as the first CISO at Slalom, a tech and business consulting firm in Seattle. With almost two decades of experience in security leadership roles, Burger has also worked at companies such as Russell Investments, Clearwire, and Corbis.
In the announcement of Burger’s appointment, F5 highlighted his extensive experience in navigating the complex security landscape of today.
On the other hand, Gopi Prashanth has taken on the role of chief AI and agentic scientist at Auger, a supply chain technology startup founded by former Amazon executive Dave Clark.
