    Article:

Tencent recently made a significant announcement at its 2025 Global Digital Ecosystem Summit in Shenzhen, showcasing a variety of AI capabilities aimed at boosting enterprise adoption of intelligent tools and facilitating global expansion. The initiative includes intelligent agent applications, ‘SaaS + AI’ solutions, and enhancements to Tencent’s proprietary large language models, all geared towards enhancing industry efficiency and fostering international growth.

Dowson Tong, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group, highlighted the company’s dual focus on practical applications and expanding globally. The launch aims to assist enterprises in scaling sustainably while integrating AI technologies that directly enhance operational efficiency.

A key highlight of the announcement is the introduction of the Agent Development Platform 3.0, a system that empowers enterprises to create and deploy autonomous AI agents tailored to various business scenarios such as customer service, marketing, research, and logistics. This is complemented by the new "Agent Runtime," a foundational infrastructure environment that facilitates the deployment and management of these agents at scale.

Furthermore, Tencent has expanded its SaaS + AI offerings, introducing features like AI Minutes in Tencent Meetings, Tencent LearnShare, and CodeBuddy. These tools have already demonstrated significant efficiency gains, streamlining coding processes, improving R&D productivity, and providing accurate responses to hundreds of thousands of enterprises.

Tencent also showcased advancements in its Hunyuan large model family, particularly the Hunyuan 3D suite designed for the media and gaming sectors. With millions of downloads on Hugging Face, the Hunyuan 3D models are widely used open-source 3D tools globally. The company has released more than 30 models in the past year and is committed to expanding open-source availability across various domains such as translation, hybrid inference, and multimodal generation.

Internationalization plays a vital role in Tencent’s strategy, with the company reporting a doubling of its overseas client base in the past year. Collaborations with enterprises in Asian markets, including Southeast Asia and Japan, underscore Tencent’s growing influence in supporting global expansion.

At the Tencent Cloud International Summit, the company signed new partnership agreements with organizations across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Tencent Cloud International’s Senior Vice President, Poshu Yeung, emphasized the importance of offering localized solutions and highlighted the international rollout of products like the Tencent Cloud Agent Development Platform, CodeBuddy, and Cloud Mall.

Tencent is integrating AI directly into its infrastructure services, with EdgeOne – its security and acceleration platform – now incorporating large language models through the Model Context Protocol, introducing EdgeOne Pages. This feature has attracted over 100,000 users within a short period, significantly reducing website deployment time.

The company’s infrastructure investment pipeline is ambitious, with Tencent Cloud currently operating 55 data centers across 21 markets. Plans are underway to invest $150 million in building its first Middle Eastern facility in Saudi Arabia, alongside a new data center in Osaka, Japan. Global technical support centers in key cities like Palo Alto, Frankfurt, Singapore, and Seoul further solidify Tencent’s operational foundation.

As AI-driven workloads demand increased specialization and scalability, Tencent’s comprehensive approach to intelligent agents, SaaS + AI solutions, and global infrastructure expansion positions it as a key player in driving enterprise digital transformation. By bridging local compliance requirements, open-source model development, and global service delivery, Tencent is well-positioned to compete effectively in shaping the future of AI-powered enterprise operations.
