Amazon has recently unveiled a range of new products and enhancements. In addition to introducing the Ember Artline lifestyle TV, the multimedia giant has also updated the Fire TV app. Moreover, Amazon has expanded its streaming content offerings by adding The Roku Channel to its platform at no extra cost.
Previously, accessing this content required the purchase of a Roku device, such as the Roku Streaming Stick or Roku Streaming Stick Plus. However, this is no longer the case, as Amazon now allows users to watch The Roku Channel through their Fire TV devices.
Users of the app now have free access to around 50 FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) channels featuring a variety of free movies, TV shows, and sports programs. No additional subscriptions or devices are necessary. Simply navigate to the Live Guide option on the updated Fire TV home screen to explore the available channels, including The Roku Channel.

While Amazon includes an extender with the Fire TV Stick, Roku does not. This can pose a challenge when connecting your Roku Streaming Stick or Roku Streaming Stick Plus, especially if your TV is in a tight space or has multiple other devices plugged in. Recognizing this issue, Roku has decided to offer customers a complimentary extender.
If you find yourself in need of such a device, you can request it on the Roku website. Simply fill out the online form with your details and your Roku Stick’s serial number.
Locating your stick’s serial number:
- On the device – Check the back of the stick for a number labeled “SN.”
- In the Roku mobile app – Visit the Devices page, tap the three dots, and select View System Info.
- On your TV – Navigate to Settings, then System, and finally About on the home page.
Upon completing the request, Roku will dispatch a free HDMI extender to the provided address.
