In this year’s VMware Explore event, Broadcom highlighted the theme of simplifying cloud operations and preparing for the future. With customers facing challenges in cloud complexity, AI integration, and security needs, the event aims to equip attendees with the necessary tools and strategies to streamline their cloud lifecycle effectively.
The session catalog for VMware Explore 2025 is filled with a variety of interactive workshops, breakout sessions, and keynotes focused on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Broadcom executives in sessions like “Ask me anything about VCF 9.0,” providing valuable insights and knowledge sharing.
One of the keynote addresses at the event, titled “Shaping the Future of Private Cloud and AI Innovation,” will feature VMware experts unveiling the latest advancements in private cloud, AI, and application delivery. Real-world customer experiences will also be shared, offering valuable insights on optimizing enterprise workloads for better performance and security.
Despite the innovative offerings at VMware Explore, Broadcom’s relationship with some customers has taken a contentious turn. Recent reports indicate that Broadcom has sent cease-and-desist letters to VMware perpetual license holders with expired support contracts, threatening legal action for unauthorized use of patches and updates. Additionally, a public dispute with AT&T last fall highlighted the challenges faced by customers in negotiating support services with Broadcom, showcasing the complexities of vendor-customer relationships in the IT industry.
