Spanning an impressive 1,200 acres, the Frontier campus is set to become the flagship location in Vantage’s extensive global portfolio. It will feature 10 state-of-the-art data centers covering a combined total of 3.7 million square feet. These facilities are designed to accommodate ultra high-density racks of 250kW or more, catering to the evolving demands of AI deployments. The campus will integrate liquid cooling technology to efficiently manage the increased loads from next-generation GPUs. Construction is already in progress, with the initial structure projected to be completed by the latter part of 2026.
Embracing sustainability as a core principle, the Frontier campus will adhere to Vantage’s “sustainable by design” approach. The site will prioritize conservation efforts by implementing a highly efficient closed-loop chiller system that minimizes water consumption, resulting in significant savings of billions of gallons annually. Vantage is also working towards securing LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for the Frontier campus.
Strategically situated in Texas, the Frontier campus by Vantage aims to meet the escalating needs of AI service providers. This project represents a substantial economic boost for the state, underscoring Vantage’s commitment to establishing robust digital infrastructure to support AI solutions.
“The launch of our Frontier campus with 1.4GW of GPU compute capacity signifies a pivotal moment for Vantage as we fulfill our pledge to address the unprecedented demands of our clientele,” stated Dana Adams, the president of North America at Vantage Data Centers.
“Everything is bigger in Texas, including innovation and technology,” remarked Governor Greg Abbott. “Vantage Data Centers’ $25 billion investment to construct a new data center campus will generate numerous well-paying job opportunities for Texans and contribute to the local and state economies. By partnering with job-creating and innovative businesses like Vantage, Texas will continue to lead nationally and globally in this emerging field.”
Beyond its technological aspirations, Vantage is committed to nurturing community collaborations. Through partnerships with general contractors, trade associates, local entities, and educational institutions, the company intends to create shared value across Texas. This commitment involves financial support for local charities, annual scholarships for students in Shackelford County, and an emphasis on local recruitment coupled with comprehensive training initiatives.
This monumental endeavor in Texas follows Vantage’s substantial $3 billion investment in July towards the establishment of a 224MW campus in Storey County, Nevada.
