Vertiv has partnered with GreenScale, a leading developer of hyperscale data center campuses, to design and build factory-integrated data center platforms. The goal of this collaboration is to meet the evolving demands of next-generation AI workloads in Europe.
Vertiv was selected by GreenScale in a rigorous pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) process as the preferred supplier for standardised, prefabricated Vertiv™ OneCore hybrid-built data centers. GreenScale will handle the construction and infrastructure, while Vertiv will provide AI-ready data center modules designed for liquid-cooled NVIDIA GPUs.
According to Vedran Brzic, VP of infrastructure solutions business EMEA at Vertiv, “AI workloads require density and speed.” The Vertiv OneCore platform enables GreenScale to integrate and deploy scalable infrastructure for high-performance computing and high-density operations efficiently. The factory-assembled system ensures reliability and performance for high-density capacity deployments.
The Vertiv OneCore platform can support over 200 kW per rack and features a dual-loop liquid cooling system. With Vertiv™ SmartRun overhead prefabricated infrastructure, the platform includes a tailor-made integrated secondary fluid network (SFN) for GPU-intensive architecture and power distribution. These modules are factory-built, pre-tested, and delivered with comprehensive site services managed by GreenScale.
Dan Thomas, CEO of GreenScale, expressed his vision: “Our collaboration with Vertiv perfectly aligns with GreenScale’s mission to deploy efficient, AI-ready infrastructure rapidly across Europe.” Standardizing on Vertiv’s prefabricated platforms offers speed-to-market advantages, quality control improvements, and operational efficiency. This partnership positions GreenScale for handling demanding AI workloads and pursuing expansion plans in Northern Ireland and the Nordics.
GreenScale plans to expand by 120 MW in Northern Ireland and over 300 MW in the Nordics, with a long-term goal of reaching 1 GW across Europe. Their progressive high-performance compute model ensures scalable AI solutions are delivered seamlessly in collaboration with technology providers.
